Techno Fibre Group (“TF Group”) is pleased to be a part of Destini Berhad (“Destini”), a Malaysian Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (“MRO”) service provider. Destini had in October 2013, acquired 100% equity stake in four entities belonging to TF Group namely Techno Fibre Australia Pty Ltd, Techno Fibre Middle East Marine Services FZE, Technofibre International Sdn Bhd and Techno Fibre (S) Pte Ltd.
The acquisition is a move in the right direction as TF Group is a great fit for Destini. Destini is a fast growing integrated engineering solutions provider specialising in MRO services for the safety, survival and rescue equipment in the aviation, marine and oil and gas industries. Tapping into Destini’s expertise and technical know-how, the enlarged entity will now have a suite of capabilities for the local and international clients.
Destini’s expertise in the MRO services is affirmed and certified by local and international bodies. Destini is the second company in the world to be appointed by the pioneer and world leader in aircraft ejection seats, Martin Baker United Kingdom (“Martin Baker”) as its centre of excellence. It is also certified by the Royal Malaysian Air Force, the Marine Department of Malaysia, the United Kingdom Accreditation System (UKAS), the Department of Civil Aviation Malaysia, American Bureau of Shipping, and the MS ISO 9001:2008 Certification amongst others.
TF Group expects the synergy between both entities to improve the enlarged Group’s operational, procurement and administrative efficiency via cross selling and pooling of industry knowledge and experience.
Leveraging on Destini’s portfolio of clients and expanded network spanning across the aviation, marine and oil and gas sectors, TF Group is optimistic that the enlarged entity will be in a pole position in meeting the increasing demand for MRO services. Destini serves clients from the public and private sectors namely the Royal Malaysian Air Force, Ministry of Defence Malaysia, Marine Department of Malaysia, international oil majors namely Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd, MDC Oil and Gas Ltd, Talisman Malaysia Limited, Newfield Peninsula Malaysia Inc. and Petrofac Limited and global ships operators amongst others.
